RESPONSIBILITIES
- Open, receive, and distribute daily fabric and trim packages
- Organize and maintain the fabric library, development bins, and fabric storage areas
- Visit the NYC Garment District to purchase fabric samples and trims
- Update fabric development charts under the guidance of the Fabric R&D Manager
- Save and organize Fabric Development Sheets (FDS) and fabric testing reports on the shared drive
- Create seasonal color standards and fabric sourcing forms for overseas vendors based on design and Fabric R&D direction
- Track incoming and outgoing packages and communicate directly with DHL and FedEx to resolve shipping issues
- Assist in creating fabric presentation boards
- Attend fabric sourcing meetings and fabric shows alongside the Fabric R&D Manager
- Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Fabric R&D Manager and Product Development Director
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a fashion, textile, or related program
- Strong interest in fabrics, textiles, and material development
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel within NYC (Garment District trips required)
- Good knowledge of Excel, Teams and Canva preferred
- Coursework in basic textiles or fabric fundamentals preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
