Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will operate air and electric powered hand tools such as routers, drills, grinders, and sanders to make physical changes and repairs to patterns, molds, fixtures, and tools. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating a variety of equipment, including cut-off saws, table saws, drill presses, milling machines, cutting torches, routers, welding equipment, and open side planer mills. Your duties will also include designing, constructing, and repairing molds, fixtures, and pattern plugs, as well as processing tools in and out of storage.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools and machinery to make changes and repairs.
- Set up, install, sharpen, and repair punch press dies.
- Design and construct molds, fixtures, and pattern plugs.
- Process tools in and out of cold and long-term storage.
- Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, and operate machine tools.
- Apply knowledge of mechanics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, and written work instructions.
- Perform machining and fabrication tasks on various metals.
- Assist in mold and fixture designs and improvement decisions.
- Perform fabrication, finish, and repair tasks using measuring devices.
- Perform inspection and quality analysis of machined items.
- Update and maintain records for all work performed.
- Maintain all cutting and machining tools and equipment.

Work Environment
The position is a 1st shift role, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the possibility of 3-5 hours of overtime. You will be working in a team of approximately 10 people in the machining department, using machines like Haas VF7, Haas TM1, and open side planer mills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $72800.00/yr.
