CNC Machinist / Programmer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Damascus, AR. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. You’ll work in a lead role to ensure high-quality output and continuous improvement.
Shift: Day Shift + overtime as required
Salary: $23-$28 p/h, based on skill level
Key Responsibilities:
- Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software ( Fusion 360, etc.)
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for efficiency
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer (5+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in CNC programming and setup
- Strong understanding of machining principles and materials
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Proven skills with CAM software and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, Fusion 360, etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus
- Must have general computer skills - proficient in Microsoft products is ideal
