Job Description

Join our dynamic team to ensure the seamless operation of our production process. As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, assisting machine operators, and ensuring product quality through detailed cleaning and inspection tasks. Your contributions will help uphold the standards of our food safety and quality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Clean up parts for machinery in the maintenance department.
  • Assist machine operators in the production process, including sanitation tasks.
  • Lift and move materials as needed, up to 50 lbs.
  • Assemble and inspect materials, including pre-weighing, blending, mixing, and packing.
  • Load and unload products from the production line.
  • Input and track production, safety, and quality data in the Production Reporting System.
  • Ensure daily adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, Personal Protective Equipment, Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP, and OSHA Regulations.
  • Inspect packaged finished goods and ingredients.
  • Report and act on any food safety and food quality issues.
  • Evaluate hazards and verify safety measures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Operate equipment controls, flour systems, and blender recipe systems.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in production, general labor, assembly, and general production sanitation.
  • Ability to assist machine operators and read work orders.
  • Skills in loading raw ingredients and unloading final products.
  • Basic math skills for calculations and machine operation.
  • Forklift operation proficiency.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Strong reasoning ability to follow instructions and solve problems.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Focus on safety and good understanding of plant quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Strong team mentality and good attendance record.

Work Environment

Our work environment includes daily exposure to elements like dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and vibrations. You may encounter weather-related conditions such as extreme temperatures and humidity. This role involves physical activities like standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and utilizing fine dexterity. Safety is paramount, and personal protective equipment like bump caps, goggles, and gloves will be provided. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
