Job Title: Apprentice / Assistant Wallcovering Installer

Company: Serendipity Designs LLC

Job Type: Part-time with potential for full-time; 1099 Independent Contractor

Schedule: 20–30 hours per week, as needed

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Position Summary

Serendipity Designs LLC, based in Carmel, IN, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice / Assistant Wallcovering Installer. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to learn a highly sought-after trade while assisting with various tasks related to wallcovering installation.

As our business grows, this position has the potential to evolve into a more independent role. The ideal candidate is punctual, reliable, and eager to learn new skills, with a willingness to take direction and a strong eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Assist with setup and teardown of job sites and materials
Help with prep work such as painting, sanding, installing liner/blank stock, and other essential tasks
Aid in installing wallcoverings at residential job sites (and occasional commercial sites)
Pick up supplies or run errands as needed
Participate in occasional travel and weekend work

Qualifications

Physical ability to perform job duties: standing for long periods, lifting materials up to 50+ lbs, working on scaffolding/ladders, and sustaining arm movements
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Punctual, reliable, and motivated to learn
Ability to work well under direction and as part of a team
Willingness to travel occasionally and work weekends as needed

Compensation

Starting at $15/hour, with higher rates based on experience and skill development.
