Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II (Floater ) to support our client’s medical facility based in Oakland Park FL 33334

Job Title: Phlebotomist II (Floater )
Work Location: Oakland Park FL 33334
Pay : 20.27/hr to 22.63/hr
Contract : 4 Months
Shift : Monday thru Friday 6:00am-3:30pm
Rotational Saturdays 6:30am-11:00am
Gas Cost will be reimbursed by the client.
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional service to patients seeking routine lab services or testing for life-impacting health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and ensuring an atmosphere of professionalism, trust, and safety. This position requires excellent phlebotomy skills, strong communication abilities, and the flexibility to work across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
Collect clinical and forensic specimens through venipuncture, capillary collection, or other methods according to company protocols.
Verify and label specimens accurately in the presence of the patient, ensuring correct patient identification and documentation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and logs.
Follow company procedures for confidentiality and safety.
Explain procedures to patients, creating a reassuring and informative experience.
Demonstrate leadership behavior, professionalism, and organizational commitment.
Support daily operations in a Patient Service Center (PSC), In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP), or mobile setting as needed.
Float between multiple sites based on staffing needs with minimal notice.
Submit mileage for reimbursement when traveling to different locations.
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities
Ability to produce accurate, error-free work in a high-volume environment.
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Superior customer service focus and communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in procedures and workflow.
Reliable transportation (not rideshare/public transit), valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
Punctuality and consistent attendance are critical; excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent — Required
Medical assistant or paramedic training — Preferred
Phlebotomy certification — Preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Work Experience
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience — including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections — Required
At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment — Preferred
Retail or customer service experience — Preferred
Keyboarding/data entry skills — Required
Additional Notes for Floaters :
Must be able to report to any assigned site on time daily.
Reliable, personal transportation is mandatory.
Travel between sites is required and mileage can be reimbursed.
Training locations will vary based on trainer availability.
