Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent engine manufacturer in the Wayland area, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team!

Location: Byron Center or Wayland

Monday-Friday with a lot of Overtime.

4am - 2pm. Pay: $16.50, $2 attendance bonus.

2pm-12am Pay: $18, $2 attendance bonus.

10pm-6am. Pay: $18, $2 attendance bonus.

**Overtime on Fri./Sat. (Mandatory)**

Responsibilities:

• Ensures adequate supply of component stock is at station to run machines
• Lifting, positions, and removes work pieces from machines to assist in assembly, forming, fitting, and welding
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock and work in process
• Actively monitors the condition of product being produced
• Accurately measures and checks parts for compliance
• Picks up, cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment after use
• Fills out production reports and labels product as needed

Qualifications:

• Able to read, write, and compute simple arithmetic.
• Able to stand for the entire shift.
• Able to use both hands and lift 50 pounds.
• Able to perform tasks requiring repetitive bending, twisting, turning, lifting, pushing, and reaching.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.
