Position Summary:
The Shop Supervisor works with the location manager to oversee shop builds and assembly while maintaining, editing, and scheduling work orders. Also works with other personnel to assemble shop builds and customer orders, and to maintain inventory in the shop and yard areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process.
- Monitoring the production practices and setting the schedules as required.
- Working with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.
- Keeping abreast of safety strategies.
- Verifies the accuracy of the bill of materials and adjusts work orders according to what was actually used.
- Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards.
- Selecting and maintaining equipment, supervising adherence to product standards, and overseeing quality control.
- Ensures the shop area is clean, organized, and free of hazardous materials.
- Maintains control of inventory.
- Assembly of work orders and equipment
- Loading/Unloading of Truck and LTL Shipments
- Vehicle and trailer maintenance, service schedule, and DOT inspections
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 2 years’ experience in a shop or related experience.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
