Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding team. This role involves planning and managing subsurface investigations, performing geotechnical analyses, preparing technical reports, and supporting both field and laboratory operations for diverse construction projects. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee subsurface exploration programs, including drilling operations and field testing.
- Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to support foundation design, slope stability, earthwork, pavement, and retaining structure recommendations.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and well-structured geotechnical engineering reports.
- Provide geotechnical support during construction, including field observations, laboratory coordination, and materials testing oversight.
- Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Apply engineering software tools (e.g., gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE) for data analysis and design tasks.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all field and office activities.
- Perform occasional travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred but not required).
- 0–10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering; entry-level and mid-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or the ability to obtain certification/licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, slope stability, settlement analysis, and geotechnical design methods.
- Familiarity with drilling operations, subsurface exploration techniques, and field/lab testing of soils and construction materials.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as gINT, GeoStudio, LPILE, or equivalent tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to perform both office and field duties, with travel as needed.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
