Job DescriptionJob Title: Dye Jet Operator Location: Maiden, NC Shifts Available:· Day Shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (may require OT)Pay Rate: Starting at $15.00 per hour (after training will increase to $16.00)
Job Summary: The Dye Jet Operator prepares and runs jet dyeing machines to color fabrics by controlling machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed. This role ensures consistent, high-quality production through careful monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of equipment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:· Prepare dyeing machines for production runs and conduct test runs to ensure proper operation.· Load fabrics, yarn, or thread into machines and add dyes, water, and chemicals according to established formulas.· Oversee the dyeing process by observing display screens and equipment, monitoring factors like temperature, tension, speed, and dye flow rates to ensure they remain within specified ranges.· Inspect finished products to identify defects or variations from quality standards.· Adjust equipment controls, perform basic maintenance, and notify supervisors or mechanics of malfunctions or repair needs.· Record operational and production data accurately.· Communicate with supervisors, mechanics, and quality control personnel to ensure a smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
Key Skills and Qualifications:· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.· Previous experience operating dye jet or similar textile machinery preferred but not required.· Ability to operate and control machinery and adjust equipment settings precisely.· Attention to detail to identify defects and maintain quality standards.· Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
