Manufacturing Technician (HVAC)
We are hiring full-time Manufacturing Technicians to produce our innovative commercial air conditioning units. This individual will play a pivotal role in the creation and assembly of our cutting-edge products. Reporting to the Team Lead Production, the Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for assembling Blue Frontier HVAC units and associated subsystems, and may also be involved with supporting testing, material handling, and other organizational and administration tasks in the workshop. This role will join an existing team of experienced technicians and will have the support and guidance to excel in the role, as well as opportunities for learning and development. Roles and ResponsibilitiesPreparation of components and materials required for assemblyFollow written and verbal instructions to inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect malfunctionsAssembly of components, sub-assemblies, and systems for Blue Frontier HVAC unitsAssist with general workshop tasks, including workstation setup, parts receiving, inventory/stock management, cleaning, sorting, and administrationAssist with testing Blue Frontier HVAC units when requiredEnsure compliance with all safety and environmental laws, regulations, and guidelinesCoordinate with team members to complete projects on timeEnsure all written instructions, calibrated equipment, and material with expiration dates are up to date prior to use and raise any concerns about quality or safety to management and engineering Maintain a clean and safe work areaFlexible and adaptable to meet changing needs within the departmentConsistent attendance and punctualityPhysical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds or assist in lifting large itemsAbility to be on feet for long periods of time
Skills & CapabilitiesTechnical Skills and QualitiesDemonstrable practical workshop skills e.g. mechanical assembly in custom job shops, small-scale manufacturing, auto shop work or similarSkilled with hand tools and knowledge of safety standards and proceduresPerform manufacturing processes independently on complex and routine assigned tasks while following company policies and written instructionsDemonstrable ability to understand technical concepts related to mechanical assemblyAbility to read/interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and measurementsAttention to detail and focused work ethic is essentialPlumbing and/or electrical wiring skills or experience would be a plus, but are not requiredPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment, with assistance, on a consistent basis
Compensation & BenefitsThis role will be based in our Boca Raton facility which is located close to Boca Raton Tri-Rail station. The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
