Job Description
Turner & Townsend seeks an experienced Project Manager to support a large-scale Oil & Gas Pipeline construction project. The ideal Project Manager will be driven to provide our clients with excellent service.
This assignment is short term from August 2025 - end of March 2026

The Project Lead is accountable to integrate the functions of the project team to successfully deliver the facilities project beginning at the AFS gate through Closeout. The Project Lead will effectively plan and guide the project through funding gates, phases, and milestones to meet project objectives. The Project Lead will ensure effective stakeholder alignment throughout the project and manage performance status in cost, schedule, risk management and HSE through engagement with the Functional Managers.
Responsibilities may include:
- Work with the functions to deliver a P50 cost estimate and schedule with documented assumptions and scope.
- Utilize the CPMS AK Project Categorization to determine the project category and follow the proper roadmap to implement CPMS AK project management standards and practices.
- Work with the PIM and Project Assurance Director to develop assurance engagement and funding plans for each phase of the project.
- Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chain to deliver compliant projects.
- Can analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slip.
- Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized
- Ensure application of best practice on all projects
- Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required
- Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are being applied correctly
- Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews
- Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications
- Forecast and update key project milestones
- Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria
- Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders
- Rapid response to RFIs from the field
- Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required
- Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers
- Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities
- Strategic Thinking - provide advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives
- Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured
- Process improvement – Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
- 5+ years engineering experience with oil & gas facilities
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel up to 10% of the time for project support
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and familiarity with Office 365 web applications
Preferred:
- 7+ years of oil & gas project experience
- 3+ years of experience with ConocoPhillips Capital Projects Management System (CPMS)
- 3+ years of experience on projects in arctic conditions
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks effectively and efficiently to complete work responsibilities with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a project through the full life cycle
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change in a productive, forward-looking manner
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across other functions and organizational boundaries
- Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and technical writing skills
