Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced RN to join the Flex Pool, providing versatile nursing care across multiple medical and surgical units. This role involves floating between units including Medical, Surgical, and occasionally Cardiovascular, delivering safe, effective, patient-centered care. The RN will utilize advanced monitoring and equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, chest tubes, and more, ensuring high standards of care for a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care across multiple units, including Medical, Surgical/Acute, and Cardiovascular as needed.
  • Float to assigned units and adapt to varying patient acuity and unit protocols.
  • Deliver care in accordance with established standards and policies, including professional documentation in EPIC EMR.
  • Maintain proficiency in required procedures and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-specific orientation and ongoing training programs.

Requirements:

  • Current Hawaii RN license (must be obtained by start of assignment).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; up to 10 years preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS required; preferred certifications include PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (0645–1915) with scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation.
  • Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required.

Additional Information:

  • Flexible, floating assignments across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (Medical: 1:6 days/eves, 1:8 nights; Laulima/Surgical Acute: 1:6; Cardiovascular: 1:4).
  • Orientation provided for each unit.
  • Holiday coverage may be required.
