About GTI Energy
GTI Energy, a division of GTI Fabrication, designs and manufactures mission-critical modular systems for the energy, defense, and heavy industrial markets. With rapidly expanding production capabilities in Arizona and New York, we’re investing in world-class data, systems, and operational analytics to drive throughput, quality, and efficiency on the factory floor.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Analyst plays a key role in transforming raw production and materials data into actionable insights for plant leadership. This position is responsible for developing real-time dashboards, analyzing production schedules, monitoring material flow, and providing critical visibility into bottlenecks, variances, and performance trends.
This role serves as the primary analytics partner with the Plant leadership team, Operations Supervisors, and Production Control teams, ensuring decisions are backed by accurate, timely, and strategically aligned data.
Key Responsibilities
Production Analytics & Scheduling
- Analyze and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules.
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and resource constraints; recommend adjustments based on capacity, labor, and material availability.
- Develop dashboards showing WIP status, takt time, throughput, and schedule adherence.
- Build predictive analytics to forecast production bottlenecks and lead-time risks.
Materials & Inventory Insights
- Track material consumption, shortages, and supplier delivery performance.
- Build inventory health reports showing min/max levels, reorder points, burn-rates, and BOM accuracy.
- Partner with Supply Chain to improve material planning and demand forecasting.
- Perform root-cause analysis on variances between planned vs. actual usage.
Reporting, Dashboarding & Data Visualization
- Build automated dashboards for the Plant leadership team using Power BI, StartProto, and SQL-based data models.
- Maintain KPI scorecards for throughput, labor productivity, OEE, and material accuracy.
- Create daily/weekly leadership reports that translate technical data into business-ready insights.
- Standardize reporting templates and ensure data hygiene across all operational systems.
Systems, Data Infrastructure & Process Improvement
- Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from ERP/MRP and StartProto.
- Create repeatable data models to support production, materials, and costing analytics.
- Support integration between StartProto, ERP, and other manufacturing systems.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean concepts, waste-reduction data, and time-studies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing analytics, production control, operations support, or supply chain.
- Strong SQL proficiency (building, optimizing, and automating queries).
- Proficiency with Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard creation).
- Experience with StartProto, MES/MRP/ERP data, or similar production systems.
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, BOM structure, and manufacturing workflows.
- Ability to interpret operational data and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-mix or modular manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process-improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Python, Excel VBA, or other automation tools.
- Experience supporting plant operations, production control, or industrial engineering teams.
- Ability to create predictive models for throughput, demand, or material consumption.
Success in This Role Looks Like
- The Plant leadership team receives a clear, real-time view of production performance.
- Material shortages, bottlenecks, and schedule risks are identified early.
- Operational decisions are supported by accurate, automated analytics.
- Dashboards reduce manual reporting time and drive fact-based execution across the plant.
- Continuous improvement is accelerated through data-backed insights.
