We are seeking a creative, collaborative Landscape Architect/Project Manager to design inspiring, functional, and sustainable outdoor spaces for sports & recreation and education projects, with a focus on supporting learning, well-being, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and possess experience leading multidisciplinary teams of in-house and external consultants, across projects of widely varied sizes and scopes. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team on educational and sports & recreation projects.
  • Conduct site analysis to evaluate existing conditions and environmental considerations.
  • Collaborate closely with key client stakeholders to align designs with objectives and needs.
  • Oversee project implementation to ensure compliance with design intent and quality standards.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and cost estimates in alignment with institutional funding and procurement requirements.
  • Ensure all projects comply with state and local regulations, educational facility standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Oversee preparation of master plans, conceptual designs, detailed drawings, and construction documents.
  • Integrate principles of universal design, ADA accessibility, safety, and sustainability into every project.
  • Select appropriate materials, planting palettes, and site furnishings to support campus identity, community engagement, and desired outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree and landscape architecture licensure is required.
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in landscape architecture is required. Prior experience in educational campuses is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of campus planning principles and sports & recreation environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience working directly with client stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with ability to lead through influence.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools.
  • Ability to travel for project requirements, as needed.
