Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of equipment including Power, Pump, HVAC, and Load Bank systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment setup and installation at customer job sites, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition and meets safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
  • Document equipment status before and after rental, including detailed work orders.
  • Communicate equipment issues to customers, foremen, and supporting mechanics.
  • Run installation crews for Power Generator/Distribution/HVAC/DH/Pump/Load Bank project setup.
  • Maintain service records and create warranty claims.
  • Conduct rent-ready inspections on assigned equipment groups.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all Pump & Power equipment.
  • Install flexible gas hoses for propane and natural gas applications and check gas connections safely.
  • Document projects including daily notes, labor logs, and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with Service Managers and Rental Operations to meet rental equipment standards.
  • Dispose of hazardous materials safely and responsibly.
  • Adhere to all safety standards as prescribed by management.
  • Be available for on-call emergency service as scheduled.
  • Perform duties of the Level 1 job as required.
  • Complete SMFs, warranties, and order parts within the system.
  • Commission new equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
  • Understanding of basic refrigeration.
  • Knowledge of electrical engines and controllers.
  • Experience with dehumidification equipment from CDI and Munters.
  • Familiarity with generators, power distribution, A/C, heaters, and shoring.
  • Understanding of diesel equipment, generators, and air compressors.
  • Knowledge of compressed air treatment (dryers/filters/aftercooler).
  • Ability to read and understand electric schematics.
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic flow drawings.
  • Project management and customer service skills.
  • Operational process/system aptitude.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ladson, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.
