Pay Rate: $28–$32 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: 45–55 hours per week | Overtime available
Per Diem: Available for qualified candidates (must meet requirements)
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Millwrights for full-time work in Tuscaloosa, AL. This position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical systems. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, align, and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, welding, and machining equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform precision measurements and alignments using appropriate tools.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures, including required PPE.
- Work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Journeyman Certification as a Millwright (preferred).
- Must have OSHA 10 or higher certification.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to industrial machinery.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform lifting, bending, climbing, and other physically demanding tasks.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Additional certifications in welding, machining, or industrial maintenance a plus.
- Experience with specific types of machinery or equipment relevant to the industry preferred.
Compensation & Schedule
- $28–$32 per hour (based on experience)
- 45–55 hours per week with overtime opportunities
