Staff Up is seeking a Quality Inspector in Dallas, TX 75247
Pay: $18/HR
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Must be flexible for Saturdays)
Hours: TBD - Depending on workload
The Quality Inspector perform inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing, inspection, and quality control within a cable or wire manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process, and finished products for compliance with specifications and quality standards (e.g., UL, CSA, RoHS)
- Perform product tests including insulation thickness, conductor resistance, spark testing, and lay-length direction
- Record inspection data accurately and maintain proper documentation
- Verify labeling, printing, and packaging meet company and customer requirements
- Identify and report defects or non-conformities; assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure real-time quality control
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications Required:
- 1+ year of experience in cable or wire production inspection (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, projectors)
- Basic understanding of quality standards (UL, ISO 9001, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer skills (data entry, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
- Prior experience in cable or wire production inspection
- Experience with in-process quality checks
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
