Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager with a strong background in TxDOT projects. The ideal candidate will lead geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring compliance with state regulations and delivering high-quality results. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and project management skills to effectively manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical projects in compliance with TxDOT standards and regulations
• Conduct foundation design and analysis for various infrastructure projects
• Oversee site investigations and soil mechanics assessments
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment
• Evaluate risks and implement quality control measures throughout project lifecycle
• Utilize AutoCAD for design and drafting as needed
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical project management
• Proven experience in foundation design and site investigation
• Familiarity with TxDOT regulations and project standards
• Strong project management skills and experience with budget management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and risk assessment practices
• Experience with construction materials and quality control processes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical reporting
