VLinc is hiring a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the U.S. Coast Guard's MH-60T helicopter program, with a focus on integration, configuration management, and logistics planning. This position will provide high-level acquisition and sustainment support during the Obtain and Produce/Deploy & Support phases of the aviation lifecycle. The SME will coordinate across government and OEM stakeholders, ensuring effective tracking of configuration changes, integration of new mission systems, and support planning for logistics and obsolescence mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance and technical support to the MH-60T acquisition team at the Aviation Projects Acquisition Center (APAC).
- Develop acquisition strategies, including Determinations & Findings (D&Fs) and Justification & Authorizations (J&As).
- Manage and document configuration changes across the MH-60T platform, ensuring alignment with integration schedules and mission objectives.
- Lead obsolescence mitigation planning and coordination with avionics Lead Systems Integrators (LSIs) and OEMs.
- Coordinate logistics planning activities including maintenance training system support, sparing models, and sustainment requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), and associated planning documents.
- Provide on-site oversight and conduct site visits to commercial and government facilities where missionization and upgrades are in progress.
- Collaborate with IPTs, engineering leads, and program managers to ensure compliance with USCG and DHS acquisition policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Logistics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience supporting aviation platform acquisition and integration, including configuration and logistics planning.
- Strong background in U.S. Coast Guard or DoD rotary-wing aviation platforms.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, MIL-STD documentation, and obsolescence tracking methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare acquisition documents, perform system evaluations, and coordinate with OEM partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Program Management, or Business Administration.
- DAWIA Level III or PMP certification.
- Prior experience working directly with the MH-60T platform or other USCG/DoD rotary-wing aircraft.
- Proficiency in USCG document routing systems such as TMS and DCARS.
Work Environment
- Location: Primarily based at the USCG Aviation Projects Acquisition Center (APAC) in Elizabeth City, NC.
- On-Site Requirements: On-site presence is required. Workspace and IT equipment provided by APAC.
- Travel: Regular travel to commercial and government facilities for system integration and missionization efforts.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0630–1600, with flexibility to accommodate project requirements and travel schedules.
