CNC/Quality Associate – MUST Have CNC Experience
Pay & Locations
- Marietta – $22.00/hour (CNC-focused role)
- Powder Springs – $20.00/hour (Quality-focused role)
We are currently hiring CNC/Quality Associates for two manufacturing clients in the Marietta and Powder Springs areas. These positions combine hands-on CNC operation with quality inspection responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, CNC machining experience, and the ability to perform accurate inspections to support a high-quality production environment.
Job Overview
The CNC/Quality Associate is responsible for operating CNC equipment, producing precision components, and performing routine tests, inspections, and first-piece checks to ensure product accuracy. This role works closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and Production teams to maintain ISO standards, support capability studies, and ensure all products meet exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities
CNC Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC routers and related machining equipment.
- Interpret CAD/CAM files, G-code, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Set up tools, adjust machine parameters, and load/unload materials.
- Fabricate parts using aluminum, plastics, ACM, wood, and related materials.
- Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to optimize production efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Quality Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections, first-piece checks, and capability studies.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with data collection and documentation.
- Maintain records for ISO compliance and participate in audits as needed.
- Support PPAP/APQP processes when required.
- Report and document non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
- Participate in special projects and cross-department collaboration.
Qualifications
- Must have prior CNC machining experience (router, press brake, oxy-fuel, or similar).
- Associate’s degree OR equivalent experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- ERP system knowledge required.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software preferred (EnRoute, VCarve, etc.).
- Experience with Faro equipment, tooling design, or multi-axis routers a plus.
- Forklift or material-handling experience is helpful.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or on a team.
