Position located in San Francisco, CA
 
Responsibilities of the Scientist/Sr. Scientist (Organ Perfusion):
 
<ul>
<li>Will lead the design and operation of systems that integrate perfusion, physiology, sensing, actuation, and closed-loop control.</li>
<li>Perform identification, characterization, and mitigation of long-horizon failure modes.</li>
<li>Apply your expertise in organ perfusion, preservation, and viability assessment.</li>
<li>Define measurements, interpret dynamics, and drive improvements in system-level function.</li>
<li>Will collaborate with scientists and engineers across the company on a variety of methods inspired by first principles of biology, physics, and chemistry.</li>
<li>Ability to comfortably execute familiar assay protocols as well as identifying and implementing unfamiliar protocols to diagnose damage.</li>
<li>Propose adjustments to cryopreservation protocol to optimize the health of organs.</li>
</ul>
 
Requirements of the Scientist/Sr. Scientist (Organ Perfusion):
 
<ul>
<li>MS or PhD with 2+ years relevant experience working with physiological systems.</li>
<li>Must have experience with perfusion, ECMO, organ support, or normothermic preservation.</li>
<li>Experience with real-time instrumentation and sensing in biological environments.</li>
