Job Title: Overhead Door Technician/Installer
Location: DE, NJ, MD & PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 24/7 Availability (Flexible Shifts, including nights and weekends as needed)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Overhead Door Technician/Installer to join our team and provide excellent service to residential and commercial properties across the DE, NJ, MD, and PA regions. This full-time position requires working in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and extreme temperatures, and often involves working at high elevations using ladders and lift equipment. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in challenging environments, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and is committed to safety.

As an essential part of our 24/7 operations, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead doors. You will need to demonstrate exceptional mechanical skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and conditions.

A clean driving record is required, as you will be driving a company truck to various job sites. The ability to provide your own tools is also essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overhead Door Installation: Install and replace overhead doors, including manual and automatic systems, at both residential and commercial properties.

  • Repairs and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair issues with overhead doors to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • On-Call Availability: Be available for emergency repairs and installations, with flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers, answering questions, providing service explanations, and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.

  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working, particularly when using ladders, working in inclement weather, or handling heavy materials.

  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and ensure the functionality of tools and equipment required for installations and repairs.

  • Documentation: Complete work orders, service records, and time sheets accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in overhead door installation and repair or related technical fields is preferred.

  • Tools: Ability to provide your own tools for installations and repairs.

  • Driving Record: Must have a clean and valid driver’s license, as you will be driving a company vehicle to job sites.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs or more) and work in physically demanding conditions, including extreme weather.

  • Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of a 24/7 operation.

  • Customer Service: Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to address customer inquiries professionally and effectively.

  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

  • Safety Consciousness: A strong commitment to safety and maintaining a safe work environment, especially in hazardous conditions such as high winds or rain.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automatic and electric door systems.

  • Knowledge of electrical work, welding, or other mechanical skills is a plus.

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in overhead door systems.

Work Environment:

  • Job sites include industrial, commercial, and residential properties, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, wind, and extreme temperatures.

  • Frequent use of high ladders and lifts to reach high elevations for installations and repairs.

  • Travel between job sites across DE, NJ, MD, and PA is required.
