Job Title: Sheet Metal Foreman

Location: North Texas Area

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to oversee and lead sheet metal projects in the North Texas area. In this role, you will manage a crew, ensure project efficiency, and maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate sheet metal installation and fabrication on commercial projects.
  • Manage and schedule a team of up to 8 direct reports, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Oversee project progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
  • Provide leadership, training, and coaching to team members.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage crew performance.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review project status, address concerns, and share updates.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings for accurate sheet metal installation.
  • Utilize required hand tools and equipment for tasks, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to installation standards and building codes.
  • Adhere to OSHA 30 safety regulations and enforce safety protocols on-site.
  • Ensure all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures.
  • Conduct safety audits and address any safety violations or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including timecards, progress reports, and safety records.
  • Use software tools such as Bluebeam, ProCore, and Microsoft Office for project management and documentation.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years in commercial mechanical or construction management, with at least 3 years in a foreman role.
  • Proven experience managing projects up to $25 million.
  • Leadership training, supervision, and coaching certificates are a plus.
  • Current valid trades training, construction certificates, and trade licenses are preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work with heavy items using appropriate tools and team support.
  • Proficient in software navigation including Bluebeam, ProCore, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership, delegating, and crew management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to integrity, quality, and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to coach, counsel, and discipline team members as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
