Job Title: Pattern Maker (Metal) – 1st Shift
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Hourly Pay: $34.86/hour ($72,508 annually)
Relocation Assistance: Available for qualified candidates
Experience Level: 4+ years (Journeyman level)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pattern Maker (Metal) for a 1st shift position at a manufacturing facility in Syracuse, NY. The role involves complex pattern making, CNC programming, and precision layout work using a variety of materials and machines.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, lay out, and perform advanced hand finishing on rough castings to create patterns, core boxes, and permanent molds.

Fabricate build-ups or entire patterns from various materials.

Set up and operate both conventional and CNC machine tools; create and modify CNC programs using tools like SolidWorks.

Perform intricate bench work, including polishing, fitting, scraping, and inspection to tight tolerances.

Align and assemble cope and drag plates with extreme dimensional accuracy.

Identify and resolve drawing/specification discrepancies.

Perform minor maintenance tasks as part of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Qualifications:
Required:

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Minimum 4 years of Journeyman-level Patternmaker experience OR a Journeyman license.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Preferred:
-
Experience with SolidWorks and Mastercam.

At least 2 years of CNC programming experience.

Background in metal casting or pattern fabrication.
