We’re hiring a Computer-to-Plate Operator (Plating Operator) for 3rd shift at our Arlington, TX plant. If you’re dependable, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to learn, this is a great opportunity to grow or continue your career with us.
Shift: 3rd shift
Pay: $17.50 - $24.00 Please note: Actual compensation within the range will depend on various factors including the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure all gangs are plated according to the press schedule and/or gang-to-press default assignments.

Assemble gang kits, including but not limited to materials such as proofs, gang sheets, job tickets, and hard copy proofs.

Ensure customer hard copy proofs are produced and delivered on schedule.

Distribute press schedules to press crews.

Assign color management curves according to the selected press and paper.
-
Communicate with management regarding gangs produced that are not on the scheduler’s list.

Communicate with management regarding gangs requiring exceptions to the scheduler’s list (e.g., press is down, to load balance work).

Report system or equipment failures immediately to management and IT.
-
Deliver unscratched plates to press crews.
-
Produce ink profiles and forward to presses.
-
Supply press crews with plate and proof re-makes.
-
Communicate with management when presses are idle, awaiting plates.

Report any quality concerns to management.

Keep equipment and work area clean and professional.
-
Ensure walkways are clear of sharp plate edges that could harm passersby.

Follow all safety guidelines/procedures.

Accommodate press operator requests related to gang production.

Communicate via email, phone, or in person as requested/needed.

Collect data as requested.

Ensure subsequent shifts have ample plate and chemistry to be immediately productive.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
1 year of experience in the general printing process.

Computer Knowledge
-
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Ability to use correct tools and ensure safe use of them.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to recognize safety issues & take corrective actions.
