SUMMARY
Accountable for managing plant production activities to ensure the production of products meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. May suggest new capital projects and promotes improvement through
sustainable behaviors, operating with discipline and rigor, and contributing to continual improvement of the entire team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Is responsible for a variety of support and service functions including:
• Lead the production operations to maximize plant effectiveness and efficiency
• Cross trained in the operation of other departments to provide additional resources as needed to accomplish plant goals.
• Implement, monitor, and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices
• Assist with capital project planning and execution
• Assist in the controlling of costs of production, quality, and sanitation, and maintenance
• Assist in production scheduling and monitoring of production volumes versus plan
• Motivate and enhance skills of team members in all areas
• Co‐lead Continuous Improvement initiatives in the plant
• Analyze operations at the floor level to identify areas of improvement and develop processes to positively impact operations capabilities.
• Act as member of plant leadership team and actively communicate all relevant issues to the Plant Manager
• Lead and partner with other plant leaders in the areas of employee attraction, training, monitoring, attendance, discipline, hiring/conversion, time card review, communication.
• Lead teams by empowering others, setting clear and attainable goals, and instilling accountability
• Use KPI’s to monitor production performance
• Any other tasks as assigned by your Manager
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • B.S. or A.S. degree in related field preferred but not required
• Minimum 3‐5 years operations experience in manufacturing, preferably producing food/baking/blending technology
• Ability to lead/supervise people and implement a Continuous Improvement mindset
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing desired
• Ability to generate/write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Effective in coaching teams in driving results through Root Cause Analysis or other proven methods
• Food industrial experience in operations role
• The ability to organize, manage and direct the activities of others

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to write, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to focus. Some employees will operate fork lifts and other motorized equipment. Employee will be in close proximity to moving, rotating, and/or motorized equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The primary work environment is a bulk food manufacturing environment. Daily operations may expose the employee to machinery, airborne particles, dust, and heat. Allergens are present throughout the plant and processes including but not limited to wheat based products, soy products, dairy products, MSG, and other common allergens. Hearing protection is required in certain areas of the plant.

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
Computer, Phone, Fax, Copier, HRIS System, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize company software platforms—including AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ScanWorkx, Power BI, Monday.com, and other related systems—to analyze data, streamline workflows, and drive operational performance. Candidates should be comfortable leveraging these tools to support decision-making and optimize business processes.

SAFETY
While performing the essential job functions, the employee is expected to work in a safe manner and to follow/change company policies regarding safety. It is the expectation and responsibility of the employee to report any and all injuries immediately to the Plant Manager and to resolve any safety situation that is substandard and poses a risk for employee injury, property damage or loss.
