Remote Cardiac Radiologist/ PET Needed | Outpatient Imaging Centers
MedAtlantic Healthcare Solutions has partnered with a growing Florida-based Outpatient Imaging Center Group looking for a Cardiac Radiologist (PET Reader) to join their practice REMOTELY.
Location:
- Remote
Schedule options:
- M-F
- 6 hrs a day minimum
Perks:
- 6-8 hr shifts
- No weekends or call
- Work station is provided
- FL license offered, if needed
- Open to be per click, part time 1099, or full time W2
Mix:
- Cardiac Reader and PET (optional to read general also)
Employment Type:
- W2 salary or 1099 production. Multiple comp models are available.
Coverage:
- Malpractice and tail covered
Company Status:
- Established group and growing with new imaging centers
Credentialing Timeframe:
- 60-90 credentialing
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Eligible by the ABR or AOBR
- FL license is required
Key Responsibilities
Interpret Cardiac Imaging Studies:
- Cardiac CT (e.g., coronary CT angiography, calcium scoring).
- Cardiac MRI (e.g., for cardiomyopathies, congenital heart disease, viability assessment).
- Occasionally echocardiography (if cross-trained) or review of nuclear cardiac imaging.
Skills and Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of radiology residency.
- Fellowship training in cardiothoracic imaging or cardiac MRI/CT.
- Strong knowledge of: Coronary artery disease, valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, congenital heart defects, pericardial disease, and cardiac tumors.
- Proficiency in: Cardiac CT and MRI interpretation.
- Post-processing software (e.g., 3D reconstructions, myocardial perfusion analysis).
Work Environment
- Outpatient imaging centers with advanced cardiac imaging capabilities.
- May also read non-cardiac thoracic studies (e.g., lung nodules, interstitial lung disease) if dual-trained.
Bonus Skills (Depending on Role)
- Certification in Level 2 or Level 3 cardiac CT/MRI (e.g., SCCT or SCMR).
- Experience in structural heart disease imaging (e.g., pre-TAVR planning).
- Familiarity with AI-assisted imaging tools.
