Welder/Fitter
Job Description
This role involves structural fitting and welding using advanced techniques and materials, such as 1/16th dual shield. You will utilize blueprints and structural drawings to accurately layout and fit steel components. This position is specifically for a project at an airport, requiring experienced welders or fitters familiar with D1.1 standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural fitting and welding tasks using advanced welding techniques.
- Utilize blueprints and structural drawings for accurate steel layout and fitting.
- Ensure all welding and fitting work meets AWS D1.1 standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently within project timelines.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in welding and fitting structural steel.
- Experience with structural infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and structural drawings.
- Familiarity with flux core and dual shield welding techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural welding or fitting.
- Experience in fabrication and structural welding.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of VANCOUVER, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
