A great opportunity is available for an experienced IV compounding pharmacy technician seeking a full-time position in Dallas, Texas. This role is ideal for those with a strong background in sterile compounding and pharmacy technician responsibilities, looking to advance their career through a contract-to-hire arrangement.
Location:
- Dallas, Texas
Schedule:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM (exact shift TBD)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile IV admixtures including TPN, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and specialty infusions following USP standards
- Accurately label, package, and stage compounded products for pharmacist verification and timely distribution
- Maintain clean room sterility with daily, weekly, and monthly environmental cleaning, proper garbing, and thorough documentation
- Manage inventory of IV medications and related supplies to ensure availability and proper stock levels
- Complete compounding logs, batch records, and quality control documentation with precision
- Support licensed pharmacists with additional duties as required
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License
- PTCB Certification
- IV Certification is required
- Minimum of 2 years recent sterile compounding experience (3+ preferred)
- At least 4 years recent experience as a pharmacy technician
