Journeyman and Master
Journeyman and Master Plumbers lead jobs, crews, and projects. Licensed plumbers at Kimbel Mechanical Systems work primarily in new residential and commercial construction. Journeyman and Master Plumbers must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the plumbing field.
Journeyman and Master Plumbers install, modify, inspect, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures in water, gas and drainage systems according to specifications and building codes. They perform necessary tasks on all phases of plumbing by relying on experience and knowledge. They identify plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and take necessary corrective action.
Must be able to read blueprints, take supervision and/or contractor instruction, and complete quality control sheets. Must be able to make decisions on the job site, without disruption to the business or to work and job quality.
Apprentice
Apprentice Plumbers must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the plumbing field. Apprentice Plumbers learn to install, modify, inspect, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures in gas, water and drainage systems according to applicable building codes. Apprentice Plumbers perform necessary tasks on all phases of plumbing.
Must be able to learn to identify plumbing and safety problems applicable to installation and take necessary corrective action. Must be able to learn to read blueprints, take supervisor or contractor instruction and complete quality control sheets. Must be able to follow direction.
