Summary: The Floor Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of all Food & Beverage concepts at The Grayson, including Bar Cima, Harta, Bar Harta, and Tacalle, ensuring a consistent, high-quality guest experience across each venue. This position is responsible for leading and developing staff, managing service operations, maintaining inventory controls, and supporting on-site events while upholding elevated hospitality standards.
The ideal candidate thrives in a multi-unit environment, is comfortable working late nights, and excels at optimizing workflow, coaching teams, and reinforcing company policies as well as local, state, and federal labor regulations. This role requires a proactive leader who can balance hands-on floor management with strategic oversight to drive operational excellence across multiple concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple restaurant operations daily, including opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food quality standards.
- Recruit, train, and manage restaurant staff across all units on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and Company standards, especially in relation to steps of service.
- Implement, enforce, and ensure compliance with Company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and driving job satisfaction.
- Monitor and assess employee performance by providing consistent coaching, performance reviews, and address any employee concerns.
- Schedule and coordinate shifts, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Collaborate with Heart-of-House management, and other departments, to optimize workflow and resolve cross-functional challenges.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments and/or suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
- Monitor and manage budgetary goals, controlling costs without compromising quality.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with a focus on satisfaction and recovery of service.
- Generate reports including service recaps and other data as it relates to business trends.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years in a managerial role in a restaurant setting, multi-unit preferred.
- Knowledge of POS (Micros or similar)
- Timekeeping and Scheduling (Hot Schedules or similar)
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations
- Customer-centric
- Ability to effectively handle employee relations.
- Acute business & financial acumen
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements with wage & hour, scheduling, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
