Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Develops concepts, designs, and documentation for electrical power distribution, control, and instrumentation systems for industrial machines. Designs machine controls including electro-mechanical relay systems, PLC systems and logic, drive control systems, and computer interfacing for the operation and control of measuring instrumentation and machine components of company products.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Determine feasibility of designing equipment or modifying existing equipment considering costs, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
- Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to help establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
- Prepare product or system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Prepare and compile necessary calculations to support product designs.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Electrical Systems Design of control boxes for industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of machine design and parts design for machinery that contain control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in the design of electrical control and power distribution systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement computer-based software systems.
- Experience with PLC programming, basic machine controls design, large motor and drive controller implementation.
- Familiarity with electrical codes.
- Strong math skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MRP systems is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and reason through technical issues.
Work Environment
The dress code is business casual, and the hours are from 8 to 5, with an hour for lunch. The candidate will work collaboratively with the engineering team, the manufacturing team, and all back-office personnel. This is a great opportunity to learn about manufacturing and machine design/build, and the company offers classes to help develop skills further.

This is a Permanent position based out of Deer Park, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
