Job DescriptionThe Science Team at Russell Tobin is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for “Lab Computing Analyst”.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for laboratory IT systems integrated with scientific instruments.
Implement and maintain benchtop computing environments per customer specifications.
Manage and support Windows-based platforms, including system connectivity and configuration.
Perform operating system and desktop hardware maintenance, including imaging and software installation.
Implement and maintain Windows-based security, including user/group permissions, file/folder access, and group policies.
Troubleshoot and repair instrument-related computer issues; escalate complex problems as needed.
Support system validations, change management, and compliance documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory of lab computers, software, and related equipment.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards within the laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing, and backup systems.
Experience supporting scientific instrumentation and working in life sciences or validated environments.
Familiarity with GxP, ISO, and FDA-compliant facilities.
Hands-on experience with:
Active Directory (user/group management, folder permissions, shared drives)
SCCM, Acronis, network troubleshooting, Ethernet cabling
Zscaler, Dymo printers, ServiceNow, Windows 11 upgrades
Preferred (Nice to Have) Skills
Experience with Linux, Group Policy, Splunk, or CyberArk.
Background in pharmaceutical or IT infrastructure support environments.
Strong desktop support and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
Location: Tarrytown, NY
Contract Length: 3 Months
Pay range: $30-$33/hr. on W2
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
