ASCEND Mental Wellness is seeking a Supportive Asleep Overnight Residential Specialist for our Supportive Housing Program. Residential Specialists may work on service plans, provide advocacy for residents, documentation, and perform light maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Supportive Asleep Overnight Residential Specialist Education/Qualification Requirements:

<li>High School Diploma, or equivalent, with at least two years' experience working in direct service provision in the human services field.</li>
<li>Valid NYS driver's license acceptable to Agency insurance standards.</li>

Supportive Asleep Overnight Residential Specialist Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Obtain pertinent information from Residence Counselors when reporting for a shift, and pass on pertinent information to Residence Counselors at the end of shift.</li>
<li>Supervise resident self-administration of medications</li>
<li>Assure security of residence throughout shift.</li>
<li>Be available to all residents through shift.</li>
<li>Encourage effective communication, personal and interpersonal awareness and independence among staff and residents.</li>
<li>Instruct residents in the use of house equipment, safety procedures and routines as necessary.</li>
<li>Be attentive to the residence and its functioning, make small repairs as needed and inform supervisor of larger maintenance issues.</li>
<li>Complete appropriate paperwork as necessitated.</li>
<li>Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and required in-service trainings.</li>
