Job Description
: The Structural Steel Fabricator III is an experienced professional responsible for overseeing complex steel fabrication projects, ensuring high-quality standards, and mentoring less experienced fabricators.&nbsp; This role requires advanced knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, problem-solving, and the ability to lead fabrication efforts with minimal supervision.
<ol>
<li>Lead the fabrication of large-scale or complex structural steel components, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.</li>
<li>Mentor and supervise less experienced fabricators, providing guidance and training as necessary.</li>
<li>Read, interpret, and verify blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper fabrication and assembly.</li>
<li>Perform quality control inspections of fabricated components to ensure compliance with industry standards.</li>
<li>Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion.</li>
<li>Identify and troubleshoot issues, making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and regulations.</li>
<li>Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE at all times.</li>

Required Skills &amp; Qualifications:

<li>High School diploma or GED</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical drawings.</li>
<li>Certified in welding (AWS certification)</li>
<li>Extensive experience in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.</li>
<li>Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex fabrication problems.</li>
<li>Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a team.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li>
<li>In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.</li>
</ol>

Working Conditions &amp; Physical Requirements:
<ol>
<li>The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, and snow.</li>
<li>Wear Personal protective equipment (Safety glasses, face shield, gloves) and a respirator when required</li>
<li>Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers</li>
<li>Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.</li>
<li>Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.</li>
