CV Resources is partnering with a publicly traded construction company to find a Human Resources Assistant who will provide comprehensive support in all areas of recruitment and HR operations. This role involves assisting with job postings, application processing, tracking applicants, and facilitating the hiring process. Additionally, the HR Assistant will support employees and supervisors with policy and benefits inquiries, assist with benefits administration, and help coordinate special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Support:

    • Assist with job postings, applicant tracking, pre-employment testing, and new hire orientation.
    • Facilitate communication between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Employee Support:

    • Respond to basic policy and benefits-related inquiries from employees and supervisors.
    • Coordinate the distribution of benefits-related communication materials.
  • Benefits Administration:

    • Support benefits administration tasks including record-keeping, training, and reporting.
    • Assist with the preparation and distribution of benefits-related materials.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain departmental records and assist with document filing and retention.
    • Prepare materials for employee orientations.
    • Provide administrative support to other departments as needed.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Assist with research, special projects, and reporting as required.
    • Manage high volumes of work and handle tasks under time constraints.
  • Policy Enforcement:

    • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with safety practices and promote a safe work environment.
  • Additional Duties:

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in an HR department or similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic math skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, tact, and critical thinking in interactions with employees and the public.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage time-sensitive tasks effectively.
