⭐ The Role: Product Quality Inspector (On-Site)
We are actively looking for the top product quality inspector in the Omaha area for small food brands.
Your job is simple:
Evaluate the final product with your eyes, hands, and palate — and help ensure consistency before the product leaves the co-manufacturer to the end customer.
What You’ll Do
-
Inspect finished products for visual defects (shape, color, texture, spotting)
-
Taste and evaluate products for flavor consistency and quality
-
Verify simple measurements (weight, size, count, packaging integrity)
-
Take photos and quick notes of observations
-
Report any deviations or quality drift
-
Communicate clearly and respectfully with plant staff
-
Follow food safety rules and plant entry requirements
-
Serve as the “eyes and ears” of the brand during the run
What You WON’T Do
-
No equipment troubleshooting
-
No getting dragged into operations
-
No documentation marathons or audit-prep workloads
This role focuses ONLY on inspecting the final product and catching issues early.

⏰ Scheduling
We are building a roster of inspectors available for on-site windows, including:
-
early morning
-
mid-day
-
evening
-
weekends
-
or “text me when needed” availability
Starting Phase: 1–4 hours per production run, 1-2x per week
Growth Path: As we onboard more food brands that co-manufacture in Omaha, this can grow into 20–30+ hours/week for the right inspector.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Compensation (1099 Contractor)
This is a flexible contractor role, paid per assignment.
Most inspectors earn the equivalent of $30/hr+, depending on the brand and the run.

Company Description⭐ About AHA Careers
AHA Careers exists to flip America’s 20% job-satisfaction rate on its head.
We believe people thrive when they work inside their natural talents, true passions, and zone of genius — not when they’re forced to perform 100% of a job description for 1 company.
Our model is simple:
Let people do the 10–20% of work they love
Let them do it for multiple companies
Pay them more for the work they’re exceptional at
Give them flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful impact
This role is one example of how we match people to work that fits them — not the other way around.
If that resonates, you may love being an AHA Careerist.

About The Bakery Bunch
The Bakery Bunch is a niche recruiting team focused exclusively on the baking and food manufacturing industry.
We began by helping commercial bakeries fill essential full-time roles — production, maintenance, QA, logistics, operations. But we noticed a second need:
Small food brands producing through co-manufacturers in Omaha needed hands-on quality support — especially at the final product stage.
Through our partnership with AHA Careers, we now provide these brands with passionate, detail-oriented inspectors who support production only during the most critical windows.
