Purpose:
As the Quality Team Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the final product lifecycle. You will report to the Quality Manager and work closely with the Production leadership team to ensure all daily expectations are met. If you are successful in this role, there is an opportunity for future growth into a Supervisor level position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations by coordinating and delegating tasks to the team to meet production goals and daily expectations.
- Participate in root cause analysis for process and quality issues.
- Read and interpret design drawings and blueprints.
- Monitor Non-conformance trends and ensure adherence to QMS processes.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving.
- Foster team motivation and positive working relationships.
- Responsible for ensuring all members of your team are properly trained and set up for success.
- Field and review team member end of shift reports
- Provide positive and constructive feedback on your team to leadership and collaborate on recognition and corrective action plans.
- Complete daily end-of-shift reports in alignment with the Quality Manager’s expectations.
- Other duties as assigned
Credentials and Experience:
- High school diploma required
- College Degree OR 4 years of experience in a manufacturing (medical, aerospace, automotive, or consumer)
- At least 1 year of experience leading a team in the manufacturing industry is required.
- Experience working with ISO 13485 is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite.
- Experience with hand tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Pin Gages, & height stands
- Optical comparator, Microvu, or vision equipment preferred.
