  • Read and follow job travelers, PDS/technical data sheets, and coating specifications.
  • Mask/plug components; set up containment and ventilation; select and maintain blast media and nozzles.
  • Measure and record environmental conditions, surface profile, WFT/DFT, and cure per QC requirements.
  • Perform touch-ups, repairs, and holiday detection as required.
  • Keep equipment clean and operational (blast pots, hoses, spray pumps, guns).
  • Work safely in respirators and protective gear; maintain a clean, compliant work area.
  • Document work performed; communicate with leads, inspectors, and project managers.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years industrial blasting and painting (fabrication shop, marine, tank/terminal, or heavy industrial).
  • Technical: Able to interpret coating specs and TDS; competent with airless/conventional spray and plural-component equipment.
  • Certifications (preferred): AMPP/SSPC C-7 Abrasive Blasting, C-12 Coating Application, or equivalent; NACE/AMPP CIP a plus.

  • Physical: Lift 50+ lbs; stand, bend, climb, and work on ladders/scaffolds/in man-lifts; tolerate dusty/noisy environments and temperature variation.

  • Not afraid of working from heights!

Nice to Have

  • Marine/shipyard or tank lining experience.
  • Experience with metallizing, zinc primers, stripe coating, and complex geometries.
  • Familiarity with QA tools (DFT gauges, profile comparators, hygrometers) and documentation.

What We Offer

  • Steady project pipeline and opportunity for extensions.
  • PPE provided (specialty items); training refreshers as needed.
