Job Title: Retina Surgeon
Location: Multiple Locations
Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts | No weekends (unless on-call rotation applies)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Retina Surgeon to join our growing ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachment.
This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical professionals committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate eye care.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage retinal and vitreoretinal diseases.
- Perform retinal surgeries, laser procedures, and therapeutic injections.
- Administer intravitreal injections and other advanced treatments.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging including OCT, fluorescein angiography, and ocular ultrasound.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with physicians, optometrists, and medical staff for coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records.
- Stay current with advancements and innovations in retinal surgery and technology.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Completion of a Retina or Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship.
- Active and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Proven diagnostic and surgical expertise in retinal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient-centered care.
