Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Onsite in Morganton, NC
Salary: $80-100k DOE
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong technical expertise and a commitment to excellence in engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems and components according to project specifications.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with mechanical and software systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Implement automation solutions and control systems using PLC, HMI, and VFD technologies.
- Conduct power systems analysis and provide solutions for power distribution and management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering design and implementation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and other design software.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE standards, and electrical safety regulations.
- Experience with automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and VFD technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Associates or Technical degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
