Hourly Pay Rate: $20.50/hr.
Bonus:
- $1,000 bonus after 14 days with perfect attendance
- $1,000 bonus after 60 days
- $1,000 bonus after 90 days
Job Summary
The Assembly Mechanic is responsible for assembling, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment and components. This role ensures machinery operates efficiently by identifying worn or damaged parts, performing routine maintenance, and ordering replacements as needed. Work is performed under direct supervision and follows established procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Mechanical Assembly: Build and assemble mechanical components according to specifications and quality standards.
- Maintenance & Testing: Perform routine maintenance and conduct functional and safety tests on equipment.
- Part Evaluation: Identify parts in need of repair or replacement due to wear or malfunction.
- Ordering Parts: Submit orders for necessary replacement parts to maintain equipment efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Follow established guidelines and report to a supervisor or manager.
- Safety & Physical Requirements: Operate powered industrial trucks and work safely around machinery and moderate exposure risks.
Required Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions or schematics
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Basic troubleshooting skills
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 0–2 years of related experience
- Formal training or apprenticeship a plus
- Ability to work under supervision and follow established procedures
