Job Title: Cabinet Designer Programmer (Bilingual – English/Spanish)
Location: Miami, FL
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000 per year
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Designer Programmer to join our high-end cabinetry manufacturing facility in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for a bilingual (English/Spanish) professional with strong design, programming, and technical production experience in custom cabinetry or furniture manufacturing.
You will collaborate closely with our production and sales teams to develop detailed, production-ready designs and technical drawings that align with our luxury aesthetic and high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Concept Development:
- Develop and refine custom cabinet designs based on client specifications and brand standards.
- Translate creative ideas into detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
Technical Documentation & Production Support:
- Generate precise technical drawings and specifications to guide production teams.
- Partner with the Head of Production to ensure seamless execution from design to build.
- Support prototype development, ensuring accuracy and consistency with design intent.
Material & Finish Selection:
- Recommend high-end materials, hardware, and finishes suitable for luxury cabinetry.
- Work with suppliers to source and evaluate components.
Quality & Innovation Assurance:
- Maintain design excellence and craftsmanship throughout all phases of production.
- Ensure all designs are optimized for both aesthetics and manufacturability.
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
Experience:
- 3+ years in cabinet design, furniture design, or interior design within a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with high-end, custom cabinetry or luxury furniture design is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Cabinet Vision is a big plus.
- Strong understanding of woodworking, joinery, and cabinet production processes.
Language Requirement:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Design & Aesthetic Ability:
Ability to blend visual appeal with functionality in a luxury design context.
