Job Overview

The Yard Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing operations related to maintaining and organizing the company’s yard or outdoor storage facility. They supervise yard workers, schedule and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments, and ensure the organization and cleanliness of the facility.

Responsibilities

· Supervise yard workers and ensure they comply with safety procedures

· Ensure equipment and materials are properly maintained and secure

· Schedule and monitor all inbound and outbound deliveries

· Coordinate with the team to maintain smooth flow of material in and out of the facility

· Maintain accurate inventory records of all goods stored in the yard

· Ensure yard and facility cleanliness and organization

· Conduct regular safety audits

· Provide training to new hires and coaching to existing employees as needed

Qualifications/Skills:

· Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing material and equipment

· Receiving, stocking, and stacking

· Pulling, packing, and loading

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to compose and send professional emails

· Ability to use computer and inventory software

· Strong sense of time organization and urgency

· Able to work independently and within a team

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

· Experience and knowledge of electrical materials, products, equipment, and tools

· Experience in the construction field a plus

· Valid driver’s license

· Clean driving record

· CDL-A a plus, but not required
