We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who is excited to own design projects from concept through production, collaborate closely with customers, and see their work come to life on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze customer requirements, specifications, and technical data to determine feasibility and create innovative design solutions.
- Design mechanical and electromechanical products—including breather valves, desiccators, fastening systems, complex assemblies, and thermal, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
- Lead and coordinate the fabrication, installation, and testing of products to ensure they meet engineering standards and customer expectations.
- Develop and refine methods for testing, inspection, and quality assurance of our components and systems.
- Create and update detailed drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Write, interpret, and maintain assembly instructions, testing procedures, and technical documentation.
- Build and manage multilevel Bills of Materials (BOMs) in our ERP system.
- Interface directly with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams—both in person and through phone/email—to keep projects on track.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites, vendor visits, engineering meetings, and industry trade shows.
- Ensure all work aligns with ISO Design & Development procedures.
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to quality in all aspects of the job.
- Support additional engineering or cross-department tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an accredited university.
- Experience: 3 or more years of experience in mechanical design engineering is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required; excellent communication skills are also required.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to talk, hear, and sit frequently, with occasional standing, walking, and handling objects. Duties may involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The role requires lifting/moving up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Good eyesight (with or without correction) and hand-eye coordination are essential.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- This position requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or status as a U.S. Person as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
- This is an on-site role, and remote work arrangements are not available. Candidates must be willing and able to work at our facility during designated working hours.
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Hours may be somewhat flexible due to the Salary/Exempt nature of this position.
40 hours per week.
