Location: Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Role

LHH is partnering with an innovative electrical aviation firm in northeast Dallas to find a skilled Mechanical Designer. This position focuses on designing metal enclosures for electrical and electronic components used in advanced aviation power systems. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SolidWorks and experience creating manufacturing-ready designs for precision applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop metal enclosures for electrical/electronic assemblies.
  • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet functional and safety requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in design processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 2 yrs in mechanical design for electrical/electronic systems (NOT architectural design).
  • Software Skills: SolidWorks and Adobe Acrobat proficiency required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes for metal components.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
