Our designers work closely with our sales team and clients to plan and specify contract furniture using CET and AutoCAD software. We work closely with our partners at MillerKnoll to bring cutting-edge workplace strategy and design to commercial, institutional, healthcare, and hospitality settings. Responsibilities for this role include programming and space planning, site verification, product specifications, drawings, product inventory, coordination with consultants, fabric and finish palette selection, and assisting sales with presentations for clients. This role focuses on complex projects, including reconfigurations, multi-phase projects, and working directly with clients to solve ongoing furniture needs. This role will focus on municipal and public sector work, and travel to job sites throughout Massachusetts is required.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- 3+ years’ experience drawing and specifying systems furniture in CET or CAP required.
- 3+ years’ experience in the A&D and commercial interiors industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
- CET, CAP Designer, CAP Worksheet, SketchUp experience preferred.
- BS or BA degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA accredited institution preferred.
- High level of attention to detail and technical proficiency
- Knowledge of building, accessibility, and life safety codes
- Ability to coordinate, plan, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities and high-volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy
- Self-motivated, innovative, and team-focused
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Confident in leading client presentations
