Zing Recruiting is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join the team of a leading biopharmaceutical manufacturer in Hillsboro, OR. This onsite contract role offers the opportunity to work in a world-class facility supporting life-impacting products while gaining strong industry experience.About the Opportunity
In this role, you will perform a variety of QC laboratory testing, environmental monitoring, and cGMP documentation activities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on aseptic testing experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment.Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex QC testing for in-process materials, raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples.
- Conduct aseptic environmental monitoring and water sampling.
- Interpret data, identify issues, and troubleshoot assay/equipment problems following cGMP guidelines.
- Support method validation, method transfers, and qualification work.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation to maintain audit readiness.
- Assist during audits and Health Authority inspections as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Available Shifts
- 4x10 workweek (onboarding-training may require temporary Mon–Fri 8-hour shifts)
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Swing Shift: 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of QC experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical or biopharma environment.
- Hands-on lab experience with aseptic sampling and testing.
- Strong understanding of laboratory methods, scientific principles, and cGMP documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory assays and equipment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and manage short-term priorities effectively.
