Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mobile Shop Foreman/Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves supervising a shop with 5-8 staff members on a standard day/1st-shift schedule. The position offers potential growth opportunities, including a future move to a Heavy Equipment Shop Manager role. We are open to offering relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the shop, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Supervise and mentor a team of 5-8 employees, providing guidance and support.
- Handle repairs and maintenance of mobile mining equipment, focusing on brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr.
- Perform machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements.
- Manage welding fabrication tasks including arc welding, MIG welding, arc gouging, and oxyacetylene torch use.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems, including 12/24 volt systems.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and reporting.
- Operate within a shop environment both indoors and outdoors, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience repairing mobile mining equipment.
- Minimum of 5 years exposure to brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr.
- Experience with Frac Transmissions (disassembly, assembly, and rebuild).
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using SIS, My Komatsu, and ET troubleshooting programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OEM experience highly desired.
- Experience in mining or rock quarry maintenance.
- Proficient in computer use and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, both hydraulic and electrical.
- Training in Cat, Komatsu, and Volvo equipment is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Able to lift over 50 pounds and perform tasks with urgency and precision.
- Experience using CMMS is a plus.

Work Environment
This leadership position is based in a shop environment with both indoor and outdoor responsibilities. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, located in Davant, LA. This role is considered a leadership position rather than a technical role, with opportunities to manage and grow within the organization.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
